Notti
Five centuries of stars, dreams, plenilunes
Graphic and color design for an exhibition exploring the night as a space of ambiguity, mystery and discovery, in constant dialogue between rationality and emotion, science and visionary thinking — curated by Elena Volpato and Fabio Cafagna at GAM Torino.
The project highlights the dual nature of nighttime: traditionally linked to imagination, yet also a privileged moment for scientific investigation, through artworks from the seventeenth century to today.
The graphic and color design translates the curatorial concept into a clear, luminous typography set against deep, shifting backgrounds. The ambitious chromatic project combines eight tones from Little Greene’s palette, realized with the support of Rezina Superfici Contemporanee.
The circular structure and subtly fragmented enveloping atmosphere evoke the arc of an entire night, with colored shadows and continuous shifts of dark blue, chameleonic greys and deep browns.
